After sticking with the band since its formation seven years ago, Milton Keynes rap metal outfit Hacktivist regrettably announce that they have decided to part ways with their guitarist and founding member, Timfy James.
Timfy James formed the band back in 2011 after he’d parted ways with local metal outfit, Heart Of A Coward.
The band confirmed the news of his departure via a statement they’d issued through their Facebook page. You can read it below.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Timfy will be leaving Hacktivist. Timfy will play 3 final shows in Switzerland, Camden Rocks Festival and a very special hometown show which goes onsale tomorrow at 10am.
All shows beyond this point will still go ahead and we will announce details on our new guitarist in the near future.”
In the same Facebook post, Timfy James also issued a statement of his own, detailing the reasons for his stepping down from Hacktivist.
“I’m very sad to say that I have made the decision to leave Hacktivist. I’ve had an amazing six years touring the world with my brothers and I wish them all the luck moving forward. I also want to thank all of the fans that have supported us this far, without you guys none of this would have been possible. I have every confidence that the band will continue to inspire and push the boundaries of modern music for many more years to come.”
All of the band’s forthcoming and final dates performing with Timfy James on guitar are listed below.
MAY 02 – LAUSANNE, Balalec Festival
MAY 19 – MILTON KEYNES, Unit Nine
JUNE 02 – LONDON, Camden (Camden Rocks Festival)
More details surrounding the future output of Hacktivist, their replacement guitarist, and any further musical projects from Timfy James will be confirmed as they develop.
