Wow! What a hell of a week it’s been for Download Festival announcements, confirming their full weekend of main stage headliners across the space of five days with the culmination of naming rock legends Guns N’ Roses as Saturday night’s headline act for 2018.
The news follows the other main stage act confirmations of Ozzy Osbourne and Avenged Sevenfold, who’ll be headlining on Sunday night and Friday night respectively.
Guns N’ Roses‘ set will be the band’s first at Download Festival since 2006, and first ever UK festival performance since the original line-up members of guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan rejoined the group in 2016 after an almost 20 year long feud between them and frontman Axl Rose following their departure in 1997.
Next year’s Download Festival will take place on June 8th-10th 2018 at Donington Park, Derby.
Tickets are available now, including both camping and non-camping options, and also the option to pay via an instalment plan, and can be purchased online through the festival’s official website (here).
