Brighton indie-punks Gender Roles have released a video for ‘Dead Or Alive’, their brand new single and one half of a double A-side release.

The song follows on from ‘Useless’ (the other half of the double A-side), which premiered on BBC Radio 1 on January 31st 2021 and is the first new music from the group since dropping their 2019 debut album, ‘PRANG’.

Just two days later, the band have dropped ‘Dead Or Alive’ with an accompanying video.

Speaking on the new music, the band had this to say.

“‘Dead Or Alive’ and ‘So Useless’ are tracks that came together just after writing ‘PRANG’, they feel to us like a stepping stone between ‘PRANG’ and the new record we’re working on so it made sense to give them their own special release. The songs were originally supposed to be released in 2020 but who gives a fuck about that stupid year anyway? 2020? Never heard of it. We’re SO stoked to get this new music out into the world right now, we were lucky to spend a lot of 2020 working on new music and there’ll be plenty more from us before the year is out!”

You can check out ‘Dead Or Alive’ and its video below.

The band’s ‘Dead Or Alive/So Useless’ double A-side will be made available on limited 7″ vinyl via Big Scary Monsters on March 26th 2021.

You can pre-order a copy from 8:00AM on February 5th 2021 via Bandcamp.
