It has just been reported that earlier today, Frank Iero (ex-My Chemical Romance) and members of his band on his current solo tour (under the guise Frank Iero & The Patience) have sadly been involved in a serious traffic accident on Park Street in Sydney, Australia.
Though details at the time of writing are minimal, it has been reported that Iero and members of his touring crew were in their black touring van when a bus collided with the rear of their vehicle. Iero and his band mates were arriving at Twitter HQ on Park Street for a performance when the incident happened.
It is believed that three people in the vehicle were injured, and an ambulance helicopter was sent to the scene to provide quick paramedic care.
The local news broadcasters 9 News Sydney have provided a short video report, which you can view below:
Since the above video report, 9 News Sydney have since reported that two members were injured in the accident. One of them have been airlifted to St Vincent’s Hospital, and the other was taken by road. They are both reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
Iero has also since tweeted, explaining that he’s “pretty banged up” and in a “state of shock” but is thankfully in a “stable condition”. You can find his tweet embedded below:

It’s unclear at this time as to the nature and severity of the injuries, and which members of the touring crew were injured in the collision. The band’s performance at the Metro Theatre in Sydney later today has been cancelled.
More news will be confirmed as and when it develops.
