Next month, Chicago pop-rockers Fall Out Boy will be headlining the main stage at this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival, but before all that goes ahead it looks like the quartet have little surprise up their sleeves for their fans.
Back in 2008, almost a whole ten years ago, the band released a mixtape called ‘Welcome To The Administration’, which featured a bunch of songs which were later reworked and/or finished and featured on their fourth full-length ‘Folie à Deux’, and some which seemingly were never touched again. Well, that is until now.
Bassist Pete Wentz has tweeted what appears to be a to do list for the band, and second down it reads “Lake Effect Kid EP: Record and Design” which significantly has been scratched out, and subsequently means that it’s done, right?

Evidently, it seems like we’re going to hear a reworked and re-recorded version of the track ‘Lake Effect Kid’ from the aforementioned ‘Welcome To The Administration’ mixtape, but at the time of writing there’s little else to work off.
There could be more revisited old tracks, or we might have some brand new ones to enjoy.
More details surrounding the band’s forthcoming ‘Lake Effect Kid’ EP will be confirmed as it develops.
