Fresh faced British trio Exploring Birdsong have just inked themselves a deal with Long Branch Records, through which they’ll release their debut EP later this year.
Composed of drummer Matt Harrison, bassist/keyboardist Jonny Knight, and keyboardist/vocalist Lynsey Ward, the three-piece recently all graduated from Liverpool’s Institute of Performing Arts.
This is what Harrison had to say about joining the label.
“We are so excited to be signing with Long Branch Records. We’re extremely proud to be working with a label that is home to some of our favourite bands, and feel our music couldn’t be in better hands.”
Long Branch Records label manager Manuel Schönfeld also had this to say about the signing.
“Exploring Birdsong are undoubtedly one of the most interesting new bands in the British progressive music scene. We’re super excited about the signing and are looking forward to a successful partnership.”
The band’s new single, ‘The River’, is set to be released on October 2nd 2019, followed by their yet-to-be-announced debut EP towards the end of the year.
More details will be confirmed as it develops.
