After filling in for the guys on the road recently during their co-headline UK tour with Breathe In The Silence, Glaswegian up-and-comers Divides have now officially recruited Connor MacLeod (formerly of post-hardcore outfit Yashin) into their ranks as their new guitarist.
Speaking of his joining the band, Connor commented, “I’m happy to announce that I am now a part of the Divides family and I look forward to spending the foreseeable future creating something great with this lot.
These guys have been some of my best mates for around 10 years, playing in different bands and growing up, so it feels right we finally go at this together.
Music is my passion, and I want to say thank you to everyone I have met along the way that has made my dreams become reality. I had some of the best times with Yashin and I’m excited to continue my journey with Divides.”
Connor originally joined Yashin back in 2012 shortly after they released their sophomore LP, ‘We Created A Monster’, and remained in their line-up until they decided to part ways at the tail-end of 2016.
Along with a new guitarist coming into the fold, the band have also recently finished recording their new EP at Longwave Studios, with Romesh Dodangoda (Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis, Bring Me The Horizon) handling producer duties.
The band will be appearing at a few festivals this summer, with more touring plans soon to be confirmed.
All of their forthcoming UK dates are listed below:
APRIL 28 – DORSET, Teddy Rocks Festival
JUNE 03 – LONDON, Camden Rocks Festival
More details surrounding the band’s forthcoming yet-to-be-titled EP will be confirmed as it develops.
