Throughout the year, Devil Sold His Soul have set themselves on a path down memory lane, celebrating their now ten year old debut album ‘A Fragile Hope’ by not only by re-releasing the record on limited edition vinyl for the first time, but by touring across the UK, dates in Europe, and forthcoming appearances in Japan where they performed it live from start-to-finish.
The band have now released a short video documentary, looking back and talking about the writing and recording process of the record, and what it’s been like performing these songs live a decade later.
At the end of the video, they also reveal that they have re-recorded the album’s ‘Awaiting The Flood’, which will also be the first recording to feature both vocalists, Ed Gibbs and Paul Green.
You can stream and watch the almost 8-minute long documentary, titled ‘A New Horizon’, below.
The re-recorded and new version of ‘Awaiting The Flood’, featuring both vocalists, is set for release this Friday (November 17th 2017) via Basick Records.
At the time of writing, it’s uncertain as to whether further tracks from ‘A Fragile Hope’ will be re-recorded in a similar way, or if this also marks as a confirmation that Gibbs has officially returned to the band full-time.
