With the case surrounding Polish death metal outfit Decapitated still ongoing, it has been confirmed that guitarist Waclaw Kieltyka and drummer Michal Lysejko appeared in a Spokane, Washington court last week (October 13th 2017) to be formally charged. Kieltyka was charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape, and Lysejko was charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree rape.
Both Kieltyka and Lysejko were ordered to surrender their passports, with bail set at $100,000. Frontman Rafal “Rasta” Piotrowski and bassist Hubert Wiecek are scheduled to appear in court tomorrow (October 19th 2017) where they will face second-degree rape and third-degree rape charges respectively, presumably with kidnapping charges also set to be read.
Along with this, Spokane Superior Court Judge Annette Plese ordered that the band were to have no communication with each other while in custody.
The above is all following a report initially made by local Spokane news publication, The Spokesman-Review (here).
All four members of the band have been in police custody since being arrested on the morning of September 9th 2017 at approximately 2:00AM in Santa Ana, California following an incident that occurred on August 31st 2017 in Spokane, Washington in which they are alleged to have kidnapped and raped a female fan on their bus after their show in the city.
Decapitated were in the middle of a co-headline tour across North America with Thy Art Is Murder as part of The Double Homicide Tour, with the line-up completed by Fallujah and Ghost Bath.
