NEWS: Code Orange tell Alan Ashby (Of Mice & Men) to “eat shit”!

With the power of a single tweet, Of Mice & Men guitarist/vocalist Alan Ashby has sparked a bit of a heated argument on Twitter with Pennsylvania based hardcore outfit Code Orange regarding a comment surrounding the GRAMMYs.

On Tuesday (January 30th 2018), the day following the 60th GRAMMY Awards, Ashby sent a tweet regarding the fact that Code Orange returned from the event empty-handed, having been nominated for the Best Metal Performance award for their song ‘Forever’, and losing to Mastodon.

Not one to mince their words, Code Orange responded by telling Ashby to… well, “eat shit.”

A fan of Of Mice & Men commented on the interaction shortly after, asking why there’s such hostility, to which Ashby responded about a previous run in that they had with the band.

Ashby‘s bandmate and fellow guitarist Philip Manansala also added further comment to the situation that he was referring to in the aforementioned tweet.

Code Orange added their own brief thoughts shortly after.

To close off the argument that he unintentionally sparked with the band, Ashby replied further.

During the conversation, Ash Avildsen, the founder of Sumerian Records also chimed in, and tweeted the following with Ashby responding to his comments shortly after.

In short, it seems like Code Orange aren’t fans of Of Mice & Men, or Alan Ashby at least.

Code Orange‘s third studio full-length album, ‘Forever’, is available now through Roadrunner Records.

Of Mice & Men‘s fifth studio full-length album, ‘Defy’, is available now through Rise Records.
