Rock outfit Cats & Cats & Cats have announced that they’re to split, playing one last UK show in London before heading on their final run across Europe. More details from the band themselves can be found in their official statement, posted below:
“On February 10th 2012 we’ll be playing our last ever UK show. It’s at the Bull and Gate in Kentish Town, London. Here’s all the details about it so far: http://www.facebook.com/events/234355296642015.
We’ve got our good friends A Genuine Freakshow as main support so it should be a great night.
We’re also taking a vote for the song people want to hear played over here. It’s going to be an emotional affair so have your tissues at the ready and your big hearty voices on, you plums. First 30 through the door get a free hand-made cup with cats lyrics on it.
Straight after that we’ve going to Europe. Yeah, see how we wrote “Last UK show”, this is because we’re then off on tour around the continental shelf of the European mainland. Here’s the dates you beauties:

Because we found the idea of this real funny, we’ve agreed to do a “Best Of…” “Greatest Hits” style compilation spanning our 7 years of being a band. It’s called ‘Catsalogue’ and the track listing is soon to be announced. I’ve just finished the artwork, which is basically a photo gallery of some of the best and worst times we’ve had. It will be available at the London show and also all of our European tour dates. Then it will emerge over at Function Records, but watch out as we’re printing a very limited number of these so they won’t be around for long.”
