Heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath have announced that they will take to the stage for the final time this November, with their appearance at Ozzfest Japan on the 22nd to be there last:
It is reported that original drummer Bill Ward, who has not played with the band recently because of financial dispute, has been invited to play the show, although no word on his acceptance has yet been confirmed.
Frontman Ozzy Osbourne had this to say; ‘This will be our last hurrah. Then it’s no more Sabbath at all. We’re disbanding the name and everything… They [Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler] don’t want to tour anymore. I get it. But I love it. I’m gonna continue my solo thing’.
The band will reportedly release one more album before officially calling it a day.
