After just the first date of their long thought to be a mere fantasy reunion, Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has broken his foot. The band’s first show with their almost full original line-up, seeing the long sought for return of other founding members Slash and Duff McKagan, took place at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California on April 1st 2016.
Rose posted the below tweet briefly explaining what has happened and why, which is accompanied by a short video explaining his injury in a little more detail:
This is what can happen when you do something you haven't done in nearly over 23 years,"Internal Fixation" (ง'̀-'́)ง https://t.co/jFTz3MQw82

Following the injury, which occurred mid-set, Rose performed the remainder of the set whilst sat down on a “throne”, to which Rose also jokingly thanked Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters for, who faced a similar situation at one of their shows a few months prior.
HUGE THANK YOU to Dave Grohl for the use of his rock Throne! An amazing gesture!Words rn't enough!! Makes all the difference up there!??????

At the time of writing, the band will not be cancelling any dates on their upcoming reunion tour as a result of this injury.
We here at DEAD PRESS! wish Axl Rose a speedy recovery.
