Since the whole drama surrounding Denis Stoff parting ways with the band and Danny Worsnop returning to the fold as the band’s frontman, the next solid and concrete steps in the future for Asking Alexandria was a little up in the air. Now, it looks a little clearer, with the band confirmed to be in the studio and working on their fifth overall album and follow-up to 2016’s ‘The Black’.
Producer Matt Good (From First To Last, ex-Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows) confirmed the news by posting some photos on his Instagram account of him and the and working hard in the studio, which you can check out below:
The forthcoming album, which we expect will see a release in early 2018, will be the band’s first with Worsnop since 2013’s ‘From Death To Destiny’. Shortly following the touring cycle for that album, Worsnop stepped down from the band to focus on both his solo country project and to front the hard rock super group, We Are Harlot.
His parting from Asking Alexandria caused much documented and public conflict between himself and the other remaining members. The band then went on to recruit former Make Me Famous and Down & Dirty frontman Denis Stoff to take his place. The band recorded and released one album with Stoff, ‘The Black’.
In October 2016, it was reported that Asking Alexandria and Worsnop had settled their differences and, after a long period of time of not communicating with the band, guitarist Ben Bruce confirmed that Worsnop had officially returned to the group.
More news surrounding the album will be confirmed as and when it develops.
