Yes, you read that correctly. Popular video game Minecraft is hosting an online coronavirus benefit concert to raise funds for research into the virus, and American Football will headline.
The virtual music festival, appropriately coined Nether Meant, is to take place on April 11th 2020 within the game, and will also be available to visit in-game.
Players will able to watch the show by entering the fictional location of Elsewither, which is based on a Brooklyn bar called Elsewhere. If you’re not a Minecraft player and don’t fancy getting stuck in, however, you can also stream the show live on Twitch.

The festival will be offering VIP passes offering “special in-game areas”, while in-game merch will also be made available to purchase, with all proceeds going to Good360’s COVID-19 relief efforts.
Further details about the event can be found on the festival’s official website (here).
