Having caused a bit of a scene whilst still under their former name Burning Down Alaska by posting a very vague status via their socials of “2012-2017”, implying a split, the German melodic hardcore outfit are now going under the name of Alazka.
Along with their name change, Alazka are also proud to announce that they’ve just signed a worldwide deal with SharpTone Records (with licensing and distribution in Europe handled by Arising Empire), becoming the latest addition to the roster which already boasts names like Emmure, Attila, Don Broco, and Miss May I to name a few.
Speaking of the name change, the band made the following announcement via their Facebook profile:
On top of all of this, the band have released a new song, and their first under their new guise, Alazka.

The track is expected to feature on a forthcoming EP or album, scheduled to see a release later this year.
