We’re putting the spotlight on the hottest and most exciting new bands around with our Introducing feature, ready to highlight the artists with the biggest potential to make an impact on their scene.

German hardcore newcomers The Pariah have been confidently playing shows since their 2016 EP ‘Divided By Choice’ with the likes of Napoleon, Capsize, Shai Hulud, Hundredth and Capsize but it’s time for them to take centre stage with their debut full lenth ‘No Truth’. The record explores everything from the inner analysis of self-inflicted mistakes to over social critical aspects and straight up politics. DP!: How would you describe yourselves to someone who has never heard The Pariah before?
The Pariah: Depends on who’s asking. To someone who’s down with alternative music in general we’d describe ourselves as kinda heavy melodic hardcore (or just hardcore, since we’re no fans of all those categories). To older relatives we’d describe our music as rock without singing but screaming.

DP!: How did the band form?
The Pariah: All of us have played in bands before and we were the ones that didn’t want to quit making music when the bands broke up, so in the beginning we were just some friends who still wanted to play shows and record some songs. When you think about it, it’s still the same today, haha.

DP!: What plans do you have for the future?
The Pariah: We released our debut album ‘No Truth’ about a week ago, so at the moment we’re just playing as many shows as possible. The time in the studio and practice room has been long enough and felt even longer.

DP!: Which new bands are you listening to right now?
The Pariah: Besides German Bands we’ve met like Alazka, Elwood Stray or Giver, to only name a few of the newer ones, we listen to all kind of stuff that is around right now. We also like bands from other genres as Don Broco, Peach Pit, Teenage Wrist, The Night Game…the list goes on.

DP!: Which bands do you aspire to and why?
The Pariah: It is difficult to name one band, but you always hear stories about touring bands and the experiences they’ve made. The energy on stage, a great musical performance, or sometimes just the professional or nice appearance of bands we’ve seen has left an image that is worth aspiring!

DP!: What’s the stand out moment in your career so far?
The Pariah: A key moment in our career was the signing with Redfield Records. As a result of that we’ve been able to release music on CD and Vinyl and play shows on a regular basis, which is a thing we always wanted to do as musicians.

The Pariah‘ debut record ‘No Truth’ is out now and you can download it from iTunes (here}.
