DP!: How would you describe yourselves to someone who has never heard Prince Daddy & The Hyena before?
Zakariya: Punchy fuzzed out power pop.

DP!: How did the band form?
Zakariya: Kory used to host shows at his house in Cohoes, Cam & I went pretty regularly! I think it was 2014, after hanging out a few times post-gig, I shot Kory a message over the internet about a fest at the house and we traded demos and I said I wasn’t playing as much music as I wanted to and he asked me to play in a band with him! It was really as simple as that, and sort of just fell together organically from there, I hit up someone I used to play in a band with to play drums, and Cam started playing with us within a month, we recorded a demo, and hit the road! Daniel plays drums with us now and we met on tour in 2016 when we played with his band Pictures of Vernon and I think we were collectively blown away by how good he is at drums(among many other activities, like skateboarding)so later when a new permanent drummer needed to step into the mix it just seemed like a no brainer!

DP!: What plans do you have for the future?
Zakariya: Essentially tour as much of the planet as we can! Keep your eyes peeled!

DP!: Which new bands are you listening to right now?
Zakariya: Strange Ranger, Oso Oso, Macseal, Kississippi, Illuminati Hotties, Remo Drive, California Cousins, Wednesday, Knifeplay, & The Spirit of the Beehive to name a few!

DP!: Which bands do you aspire to and why?
Zakariya: Slipknot & Green Day because they rock.

DP!: What’s the stand out moment in your career so far?
Zakariya: Billie Joe Armstrong regramming a video that has a kid in a P Daddy shirt.
