But now the band have released their debut album ‘PRANG’ to the world focuses on more immediate issues instead of their previous “overcoming the past and looking forward to the future together” attitude.

WHAT THE BAND SAY:

DP!: How would you describe yourselves to someone who has never heard Gender Roles before?
Tom: Fun loving silly and squeaky. We love to get loud and rowdy!

DP!: How did the band form?
Tom: I wrote some songs after having a brief time back in my hometown and when I came back to Brighton I moved into a house with Jared and a bunch of our friends. We ended up meeting Jordan at a Pride party he was hosting and that was that!

DP!: What plans do you have for the future?
Tom: World domination in a friendly polite way.

DP!: Which new bands are you listening to right now?
Tom: Public Body, Projector, Prince Daddy and The Hyena, and Lingua Nada.

DP!: Which bands do you aspire to and why?
Tom: Bands that can do this life and keep a full time job. Why? Cause it’s really, really hard work!

DP!: What’s the stand out moment in your career so far?
Tom: We’ve been so lucky to have been offered some incredible support tours with Pup, Touche Amore and Jamie Lenman and each were highlights in their own way. Picking up a copy of Kerrang! and seeing or faces in there was quite a moment!
