INTRODUCING: Climate Of Fear

We’re putting the spotlight on the hottest and most exciting new bands around with our Introducing feature, ready to highlight the artists with the biggest potential to make an impact on their scene.

UK melodic death metal fivepiece Climate Of Fear is formed from members of Desolated, World Truth and Cold Hard Truth and have just unleashed their take on a combination of hardcore with modern melodic death metal in their furious debut record. ‘The Onset Of Eternal Darkness’ is brutally brilliant and well worth the attention of anyone into the early Arch Enemy releases and is hungry for some beatdowns.

DP!: How would you describe yourselves to someone who has never heard Climate Of Fear before?
Climate Of Fear: If I knew they liked metal music, I’d tell them to listen to us on Spotify/Apple Music, etc – that makes that conversation much easier!

DP!: How did the band form?
COF: We were all friends from previous bands and all love playing metal so got together and started writing songs – now here we are.

DP!: What plans do you have for the future?
COF: Following this record we will have a number of shows and tours to announce and will go straight into writing album number 2. We will continue that work ethic for as long as possible and want to write as many records and tour everywhere humanly possible!

DP!: Which new bands are you listening to right now?
COF: A lot of bands that deserve a shout out and good music coming through. The new xServitudex record ‘Bringing You Hell’ pops, and both the Vein and Candy records were 2 of my favourite releases last year. I would also like to mention other bands such as Vatican, Vamachara, Underdark, Revolve, Nihility and the last SPLITKNUCKLE record, which are all worth getting your ears around.

DP!: Which bands do you aspire to and why?
COF: We don’t aspire to be any other band, but we do take a lot of influence from bands such as At the Gates, Lamb of God and Irate. That said we don’t want to walk down the same road those bands have gone down and will be forging our own path.

DP!: What’s the stand out moment in your career so far?
COF: The whole last year was crazy from dropping the EP to touring across 8 different countries but for me it was opening Ieper fest main stage this year. The festival has such a good vibe and everyone is well looked after it was really cool to see a lot of people come out and check the band out as well.

Climate Of Fear‘s debut album ‘The Onset Of Eternal Darkness’ is out now, via Demons Run Amok. and you can download it from iTunes here.
