After a quick read about Colchester, I have found that 1.) it has a zoo and 2.) it has given birth to a fair few notable acts, one of which is Blur. With that in mind, it won’t be long until you see other Colchester locals Forever After appearing in the Notable Colcestrians section of Wikipedia. The Essex four-piece have been incredibly hard at work over the last few months with the likes of touring and releasing a debut EP, so where they found the time to release a second EP, I will never know.

It’s hard to put my finger on who to compare these guys to, one minute they sound like the fast-passed punk rock you would find on a Burnout soundtrack and then the next they’re at the other end of the spectrum with a mellow, laid-back riff coupled with a groovy bass-line. Either way, no matter what version of rock they play, they sound incredible and offer a fresh new blend of things into today’s musical mix.

Considering that this is only their second release, they have nailed their sound to a tee. It’s quite rare that you find a band that sounds this good so early on in their career. They have created a mature, well constructed EP in ‘Wilderness’ that is both a treat to listen to and easy on the ears and, with the summer on the horizon, it will make the perfect driving soundtrack for all the trips away.
