VIDEO: Holding Absence – Penance

Following their set at Download Festival earlier this month, South Wales’ emerging outfit Holding Absence have now debuted a rather cinematic video to accompany their over 6-minute long new single, ‘Penance’.

The track is a follow-up to the band’s highly revered double A-side released singles, ‘Permanent’ and ‘Dream Of Me’.

You can stream and watch the video for ‘Penance’ below:

Speaking about the song and the video, vocalist Lucas Woodland explains, “‘Penance’ is very much just an overview of happiness, sadness, life, and death. A lot of the lyrics I had produced over the space of months in my own time, and I just felt like this song did a great job of collecting my thoughts. We wanted to make sure the video did the lyrics justice, so we made sure to include quite a lot of open-ended metaphors so that the viewer could really take their own spin on it.”

If you like what you hear, you can download the track online now from iTunes (here), Amazon (here), and Google Play (here).
