TRACK-BY-TRACK: NOT ENOUGH – TO L-VE

Electronic pop-metal band NOT ENOUGH have just released their debut EP ‘TO L’VE’ that combines exciting vocal melodies with their own brand of heavy guitars and dark electronica; the Polish quintet have taken influence from the likes of Being As An Ocean and PVRIS for a fresh, new sound.

We caught up with the band for a track-by-track rundown of what to expect from the EP.

01.) GEMINI
‘Gemini’ is the first part of the story continued by ‘Sinner’ and ‘TO L-VE’. The story itself is about battling with our inner demons which take over us, affect people we care about and make us lose them. This track focuses on duality of personality and paradoxes that come with it.

02.) FOR HOW IT HURTS TO FORGET | FOR HOW I PROMISED I NEVER WILL
This song intersects with the main narrative of the record – it’s about people we love, their betrayal, our decisions that lead to these actions and how it affects our lives. Lyrics of this song are trying to convey the struggle of losing a loved one.

03.) SNAKES
‘Snakes’ was inspired by series of tragic events in the United States – school shootings, suicides committed by students. It’s about aggression, hate and people losing their minds on the receiving end of it.

04.) SINNER
This track is a continuation of the story started with ‘Gemini’. It’s kind of a reflection on the dark, sinful side of humans. We are not immune to temptation, temptation is stronger than love, we’re too weak to head towards love, and that’s how we lose our beloved ones.

05.) TO L-VE
‘TO L-VE’ is a story of defeat. It’s about everyday struggles, battles with our inner-nature and help that we receive, but can’t take advantage of.

06.) I HOPE YOU’RE OK
‘I Hope You’re OK’ is an outro track. It sums up the whole record within its first few lines of the lyrics, but it ends with a spoken-word section that contrasts with the dark album concept.
