Cumbria based alternative rock trio Youth Salute have some more tunes under their sleeve following their ‘Carve’ EP that dropped last year. The band have now unveiled a video to accompany their brand new offering, ‘Bore’, which was shot and edited by Thirdsight Picture.

Cumbria newcomers Youth Salute (who featured on our ‘Building Blocks: Volume 5’ compilation last year) have unveiled a video to accompany their brand new single ‘Shudder’, which premiered via Punktastic earlier this week.

Melodic indie rock? Listening to ‘Twenties’ you pretty much think “okay, yeah, this sounds alright”, opening with a song full of drum beats and cymbals, one that you can move your head to, with some drastic shock tactics in the transition from the verse to the chorus. Youth Salute may not have created a genre which will blow your mind, which in itself is disappointing, but realistically you can’t have a new genre with every album that comes out. The inevitability of a band sounding like another today is becoming the norm.
