Saying that Weezer‘s last couple of albums are sub-par is being generous really. The band really did push fans over the limit with the cringingly commercial ‘Make Believe’, the aimless and confused ‘Red Album’ and ‘Hurley’, and ‘Raditude’ was just a series of sonic mistakes. However, there looked like there was hope when the single ‘Back To The Shack’ came out, where frontman Rivers Cuomo pretty much apologises for the last couple of records. Whether you think he should grow some balls and stand up for his previous artworks or think that it’s an apology well deserved, one thing is for sure; their new album ‘Everything Will Be Alright In The End’ just about makes up for the lost years.
