There’s a lot to say about the genre that is labelled ‘pop-punk’. If you go back into the older sections of this genre, you get the more angst feelings from bands such as Bad Religion, Green Day and even The Ramones, which all helped revive the more prominent punk rock side of music. Nowadays, with the more modern acts such as State Champs, Neck Deep and Real Friends, they have a much different style compared to the older groups, but it would still be classed and defined as ‘pop-punk’.
