Now that it’s February, I think people are starting to have a more positive perspective on things. For starters, the weather is clearing up a little bit, the days are getting warmer and the nights are getting shorter, most of us have just undergone an exhausting battle with exams and are beginning a new term so the work load is relatively low right now. So, what better way to celebrate this new found freedom than with a bloody good gig in a small, intimate venue with some great bands from all corners of the world.

Despite two cancellations in the past, rising Scottish rock trio The Xcerts finally made an appearance at Preston’s 53 Degrees venue during their March headline tour of the UK. We managed to make a stop at the show to catch the guys and all of the supporting acts, and got these shots of them all in action:

The Xcerts are now on round two with playing this gig. The first attempt landed with it being pulled through illness and now on the second attempt, the band once again fell ill from SXSW. However, this time they weren’t going to pull the gig and bringing along friends Flood Of Red and locals Switchboard Spectacular and Next Stop Atlanta for support.
Following the success from their recent tour supporting Brand New, British rock trio The Xcerts have announced a full headline tour across the UK in May. All dates for the tour are as follows:
2000 Trees Festival have confirmed the headliners for all three stages at this year’s festival weekend. Friday’s headline acts are 65daysofstatic on the main stage, Pulled Apart By Horses on The Cave stage and The Xcerts on the Leaf Lounge stage.
