Unfortunately, being the band’s swan song, it would be fair to anticipate something a little special from The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza before they call it a day. Although always embracing a sound that is as abrasive and technically scathing as any modern metal you can name, ‘Danza IIII: The Alpha – The Omega’ delivers such a glut of unbridled sonic violence which, amongst other untrodden touches, sees the album act as a rather stellar adieu.

After a few line-up changes and indecisions in other matters, TTDTDE are back better and heavier than before. Combining the technicality of bands such as Botch and The Dillinger Escape Plan with the ferocity of Ion Dissonance and The Red Chord, it was only a matter of time before the beast was tamed and the antichrist was let loose on the ‘spaz metal’ crowd.

Some may liken them to iwrestledabearonce because of the twinges in their 8-string guitars (yes, 8-strings!) and The Acacia Strain for their ‘brown noise’ down tuned axes, however they have enough uniqueness to make their sound theirs in essence.
