Rating:

The sea is one of the most unfathomably huge and mysterious entities on the planet. It has so many depths and levels that the human race still doesn’t completely know about everything that lurks beneath and we may never fully comprehend it. This is why the concept for The Ocean‘s (aka The Ocean Collective) new album ‘Pelagic’ works so well, because it explores an entity that is still being explored.

ALBUM: The Ocean – Anthropocentric

Release Date: November 9th, 2010
Label: Metal Blade
Website: www.theoceancollective.com
MySpace: www.myspace.com/theoceancollective

Rating:

The Ocean are a metal band hailing from Germany and they have recently released their fifth studio album, ‘Anthropocentric’. This latest full-length shows why The Ocean are a band who are deservedly gaining recognition. They’re also worth keeping tabs on because after listening to this, they are a band with such a diverse yet focused and driven sound. It’ll be hard to keep them contained in the underground post-metal scene which they have been festering in and threatening to burst out of for so long.
