In November 2011, Cory Smoot, or as he is more commonly known, Flattus Maximus of GWAR, was found dead hours after he had performed. A coronary artery condition had got the better of him. It was a shock to the metal community for someone who was such a showman to have been taken from us so suddenly, but his legacy will live on in the form of his side-project, ‘When Worlds Collide’. It’s tragic that he’ll never enjoy the praise of his fans for what is a fine album.
