Britpop, for the majority of people not concerned with it, is a genre that is the home to bands such as Radiohead, Oasis, Blur and Pulp. Plenty of other bands land in this genre, but because of the success of said bands, they tend not to go by noticed. The Charlatans are such a band. ‘Us And Us Only’ was first released in October 1999 and acted as a new chapter for the band, as it was their first release on Island Records, and was also their first album without keyboardist Rob Collins (who tragically died in a car crash in 1996).

The Charlatans have announced a string of intimate acoustic tour dates across the UK in March, coinciding with the release of an acoustic EP ‘Warmer Sounds’ on March 8th 2011, which will be available as a digital download and on 10″ vinyl. Here’s where you can catch them:

NEWS: The Charlatans announce deluxe release of ‘Us And Us Only’!

The Charlatan‘s 1999 album ‘Us And Us Only’ has been planned to be released as a deluxe 2-disc edition, set for release on March 28th, 2011. The re-release will feature the original album remixed and remastered, along with a collection of b-sides, bonus tracks and live recordings.
