INTERVIEW: Thanks For Nothing Records (29/09/2011)

Thinking of a great idea for a project with your friend that you think will do really well is one thing, but actually bringing it to fruition is something else entirely. Ross Wilson and Pete Hutchison however are one of the few people who tried to bring their plans to life, and so their new label Thanks For Nothing Records was born in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland.

After a successful launch party on June 23rd, which brought British heavyweights to be While She Sleeps to headline the evening’s festivities, things have been looking pretty positive, and with their first signing’s My Friend The Arsonist debut EP on the verge of release and a Battle Of The Bands competition in the works, we got a hold of Ross and Pete to talk about the label’s beginnings and where they plan on taking it:

Sheffield’s While She Sleeps are back in Glasgow to help celebrate the inauguration of Scotland’s newest independent record label, Thanks For Nothing Records. Having organised and sold out the gig in only a month along with signing their first band, the boys over at the label have set incredibly strong foundations to which they hope they can build upon.
