Growing and expanding to be able to now accomodate two dates in two separate cities, Hit The Deck Festival has certainley come a long ways since its humble beginnings a few short years back in 2011. Taking place across new second home Bristol and original location Nottingham, we decided to take part yet again this year and headed to Nottingham to catch what will yet again be a great day for rock and alternative music.

Following up from their ‘So Make Your Move’ EP, Yorkshire four-piece Summerlin have released their first full-length record, ‘You Can’t Burn Out If You’re Not On Fire’. It’s a record that initially settles quite comfortable into the pop-punk genre, but as the album progresses steadily transitions to a post-hardcore vibe that is really indicative of the ability of this band. Since Summerlin seem to be touring as much as they possibly can, this exposure and brilliant first album could see them really take off into the music scene.
