Each and every year, Slam Dunk, the UK’s premier festival for pop-punk and punk rock, seems to get ever bigger and ever better. How Streetlight Manifesto are still releasing records and touring is nothing short of baffling. Any other band would have given up long ago, but their sheer diligence and perseverance has seen them fight against the odds to get them to where they are today. Seriously, over the years these guys have had to wade through a constant stream of shit comparable to that of the New Delhi sewer system. Their latest battle was with their record label, Victory Records, who allegedly withheld all the copies of their latest album and barred lead singer Tomas Kalnoky from releasing the acoustic version too. That said, the album is out now and a fuck me, what an album it is.
