Prog metal four-piece Shattered Skies djent it up with some big grooves and a combination of styles to create an impressively technical and varied debut with ‘The World We Used To Know’. Sean Murphy‘s vocals, whilst distinctive and powerful in their own right, perhaps lack the drive to match the weight of some of the heavier tracks. Nonetheless, he does a fine job of complementing the plethora of influences that the band somehow manage to incorporate into their sound.
