The guys in Rise Against give us a little look into their recent time on the road in their new music video, ‘Satellite’. Take a look:
Note: As only two members of the site were able to review the festival weekend, we were sadly unable to cover every band performing throughout the festival.
One of the longest running popular music festivals in the UK, the Reading/Leeds Festival weekend is well reknowned and has been hugely popular since its inception. This year, we made an appearance at the Leeds site of the event, and what a (muddy) weekend it was. With the Lock Up Stage turned into a Dance Stage for a day and My Chemical Romance headlining the Main Stage, there’s always alternatives to those who are far from fans of the “emo” group.

For over ten years now, Rise Against have been spewing out angst-ridden political punk, whilst in recent times, a lot of the hardcore angst of their earlier works has been replaced in favour of big rock melodies and huge choruses. A lot of the urgency of their older work still remains and on this, their sixth studio album, though it’s brought more into the foreground than perhaps on previous release, ‘Appeal To Reason’.
Rise Against are set to play a headline show at the Camden’s Electric Ballroom in London on March 14th, with tickets going on sale from January 28th.
You can also hear the band’s new single ‘Help Is On The Way’ streaming on their MySpace profile now by clicking here.
Rise Against have revealed news on their forthcoming sixth studio album, ‘Endgame’. The full-length is set for release on March 15th 2011 through Geffen Records, with single ‘Help Is On The Way’ preceeding on January 25th 2011.
‘Ready To Fall’ is a new effort from rockers Rise Against, and they’re tackling social and environmental issues that effect us all. Now, this may already come across as boring, but this track is actually an absolute stormer and one that should be heard.
