Since winning the Red Bull Bedroom Jam contest back in 2011, Birmingham’s Page 44 have made it a long way, but they still have a fair amount to go. Their debut album, ‘All That Changes, Stays The Same’, is the band’s real first jump into the big league, but is this the new sound of pop-rock, a venture into giant choruses and sing a-long lyrics?
With less than two weeks to go until Hevy Festival kicks off, a final nine more bands have just been confirmed to join the weekend line-up, which includes Brutality Will Prevail and more. All newly confirmed acts are listed below:
Three of Britain’s brightest rising pop-rockers – Page 44, Adelaide and The Afterparty – are heading out on a week long tour across the UK in June on what they’ve dubbed as the Triple Threat Tour. All dates of the tour are outlined below:

It’s always exciting to hear a record from some fresh new faces on the scene, but when this new arrival offers little in the form of a fresh and exciting sound, it can be slightly disappointing. However, when a record as catchy as ‘Leave The Last Man Behind’ is produced, the predictability of its sound can be overlooked.

After going through several different rounds, performing at most of the UK’s major festivals and performing – and ultimately winning – the final performance show, Page 44 were crowned winners of 2011′s Red Bull Bedroom Jam contest. We hopped on a train to London to congratulate the guys in the Red Bull Studios where they were recording their new EP as part of their winnings, to talk about the whole RBBJ experience and to find out what’s next for the quartet.
Welsh rockers The Blackout are heading out on a tour across the UK next week, taking along with them We Are The Ocean, Canterbury and this year’s Red Bull Bedroom Jam winners, Page 44. All dates can be found below:
After being filtered down to one of the last three out of the eight finalists alongside ACODA and Hill Valley High, Birmingham’s Page 44 came out on top in the Red Bull Bedroom Jam finals, and have been crowned the winners of this year’s competition. The three bands played head-to-head with one another, before being left to the public vote to claim the winning spot.
Following an exciting once in a lifetime rock and roll summer performing at selection of the country’s biggest festivals, Page 44 will now spend two weeks in the Red Bull Studios in London to record new material at a professional level. With the support of Red Bull, the band will then take their experience to the next level in the autumn by joining Welsh rock heroes and headliners at this year’s live final The Blackout on their UK tour.
