However, with a new album coming shortly, it seems all is about to change. Following an energetic set at this year’s Hevy Festival, we spoke to the guys about their upcoming album, being caught with their flyers undone, drinking Jagermeister and more:

There’s not many festivals out there who are situated near the grounds of a wild animal park (or, simply a zoo), let alone also supply a full weekend worth of some of the most talented punk, rock and hardcore bands that are around today. We went along to catch all the bands, the animals and the partying they had to offer:

Note: As only three members of the site were able to review the festival weekend, we were sadly unable to cover every band performing throughout the day.

Extended to a full three-day weekend and being one of the only festivals to be hosted at a wild animal park, Hevy is most definitely a unique beast that’s growing from strength-to-strength year after year since its creation. With such great acts like Sonic Boom Six, Basement and Flood Of Red kicking off the festival weekend, it’s sure to follow in similar great fashion.

Not many music festivals are held at animal parks where you can visit the animals alongside seeing some of your favourite bands, but Hevy is certainly one that provides just that. Now with music spread across for a three day weekend, it’s better than ever before. We managed to catch a bunch of shots whilst there, with the Friday event kicking the whole weekend into gear with three great stages of acts.

Featuring: Crossbreaker, Never Means Maybe, Basement, Flood Of Red, Lost Boys, Carcer City and Lower Than Atlantis.
