With the end of one year comes the start of another. Note: As only a few members of the site were able to review the festival weekend, we were sadly unable to cover every band performing throughout the day.
Extended to a full three-day weekend and being one of the only festivals to be hosted at a wild animal park, Hevy is most definitely a unique beast that’s growing from strength-to-strength year after year since its creation. With the final day now at hand and a main stage headline set from Four Year Strong to look forward to, it’s definitely a great way to end what’s undeniably a great weekend.

Not many music festivals are held at animal parks where you can visit the animals alongside seeing some of your favourite bands, but Hevy is certainly one that provides just that. Now with music spread across for a three day weekend, it’s better than ever before. We managed to catch a bunch of shots whilst there, and now on the final day of bands, we took advantage of great acts like While She Sleeps and More Than Life.

New additions have been made onto this year’s Ghostfest in Leeds. Bury Tomorrow, TRC, More Than Life, Brutality Will Prevail, Basement and Bays have all been added onto the Ghostfest 2011 line-up.
Ghostfest 2011 will take place at Leeds University on June 25th and June 26th.

After the first date of 2010 showcasing some of the best and most brutal hardcore and metal bands on the scene today, it would be a very difficult task to match to it on the festival weekend’s second date. Surely enough though, they even managed to top it and close their fifth year with an almighty bang!
