VIDEO: Machine Head – Catharsis

Heavy metal heroes Machine Head have released a dramatic video for their new single ‘Catharsis’ the title track of their ninth studio album set to be released on January 26th via Nuclear Blast.

The video draws on Butoh – a Japanese form of expressive dance which was born out of the destruction of the Nagasaki and Hiroshima nuclear bombings. The dance encapsulates the feelings of fear, death and pain and sits uncomfortably well with the twisted nature of the track.

NEWS: Machine Head announce UK tour for May 2018!

Earlier this month, heavy metal titans Machine Head revealed they’d been working hard on a new album, titled ‘Catharsis’, which is set to be released in January. Now, the band have announced that they’ll be embarking on a huge world tour in support of the album, which will see them return to UK shores for a whopping 10 dates in May next year.

NEWS: Machine Head’s Rob Flynn confirms new material on the way!

During a recent Facebook live session, Machine Head vocalist Robb Flynn confirmed that the band have began writing new material for an upcoming album.

The video, posted under the title ‘No idea, just blabbin’ is just over forty minutes long and is one of Flynn’s many live updates that he gives to his fans regularly.

FEATURE: 50 albums that turn 10 in 2017!

A decade is, especially in the music world, quite a long time, even if it does seem to just flash by and feel like just a month. Ten years ago, back in 2007, things were very different; MySpace was still the kingpin of social media, Bring Me The Horizon were dodging bottles whilst supporting Killswitch Engage night after night, and Give It A Name and Taste Of Chaos were still a thing.

Bay Area based metal kings Machine Head have today premiered their brand new single ‘Is There Anybody Out There?’

Released for digital download on June 3rd, frontman Robb Flynn said of the song; ‘The song is about love, loneliness, racism, and not getting what is going on in the world/America. It’s very much about current events, but applies to a bigger picture’.
