Lifelines are a 5-piece hardcore band hailing from the Isle Of Man, who play their music with melody, pace and precision. Their stated influences of Parkway Drive, The Ghost Inside and Counterparts are obvious throughout this 5-track EP, and fans of aforementioned bands will definitely appreciate what Lifelines are all about. However, even though their sound is mainly rooted in melodic hardcore, there are essences of metalcore that filter through at times and this is partly due to the clean singing vocals that are paired with the harsh, screaming vocals. It makes for an intriguing and rewarding listen, as it’s like listening to an amalgamation of the haunting resonance of bands such as Misery Signals, with the intensity and breakdowns of Legend, accompanied by sing-a-long choruses.
