Following the ill-fated cancellation of this year’s Hevy Fest, metalcore headliners Killswitch Engage have announced two intimate club shows to make it up for any disappointed fans. Both confirmed dates are detailed further below:

Kent-based festival Hevy Fest has announced a rearrangement of dates for this year’s event. The festival will now take place on the 3rd and 4th August 2013 in Brixton, London, with a less amount of acts performing. The new dates, acts and details for the event can be found below:

Port Lympne’s Hevy Festival have released a batch of 15 more bands to join its 2013 line-up, including Killswitch Engage as headliner alongside already announced headliner, Black Flag. All currently confirmed bands including the latest additions are detailed below:

“I’d rather burn out than fade away” are lyrics from ‘A New Awakening’, track 3 from Killswitch Engage‘s new album, ‘Disarm The Descent’. These words however seem rather fitting when you consider that this is the band’s first studio album since being reunited with ex-lead singer, Jesse Leach. His withdrawal from the scene over 10 years ago was because he had indeed burnt out, destroyed himself and, despite fading away since ‘Alive Or Just Breathing’, Jesse is back now to pick up where he left off.
