Note: As only three members of the site were able to attend the festival weekend, we were sadly unable to cover every band performing throughout the day.

Onto day number two of the 2011 Sonisphere festival and now all of the stages are in full operation. GALLERY: Sonisphere 2011 – Saturday (09/07/2011)

Hosted at the grounds of Knebworth, we got involved with the Sonisphere festivities now that the event has been extended to a three-day weekend with all of its stages. After a big first night with The Big 4, we were delivered with the brilliant Scottish trio Biffy Clyro for the Saturday main event, brought of course with other excellent bands throughout the day. Though we weren’t allowed photo access to the Apollo and Saturn stages to take shots of the big guns, our snappy photographer did manage to catch all the other great action across the arena.

Featuring: Gojira, Steve-O, Panic Cell, While She Sleeps, Sisters Of Mercy, Ginger Wildheart, Black Spiders, Hill Valley High, The Treatment, Pulled Apart By Horses, No Americana, The Crave, Me Vs. Hero, You And What Army, InnerPartySystem,

EP: InnerPartySystem – Never Be Content

Release Date: March 29th, 2011
Label: Red Bull Records

InnerPartySystem trod a pretty unique line between dance, electronica and alternative back on their eponymous debut album. The lead single ‘Don’t Stop’ was a sleeper hit in 2008, and the quality of their material led to a tour of America and a near-as-dammit sold out UK tour in 2009. But, with the departure of Jesse Cronan, the jack-of-all-trades handyman of the band, it seems IPS have chosen to take their sound in a new direction. Well, it’s not so much a new direction as a streamlining of their musical style. Where their sound used to be a razor-sharp synthesis of spiny industrial and heavy club beats, now it’s dance. Just dance.
