Hosted at the grounds of Knebworth, we got involved with the Sonisphere festivities now that the event has been extended to a three-day weekend with all of its stages. After a big first night with The Big 4, we were delivered with the brilliant Scottish trio Biffy Clyro for the Saturday main event, brought of course with other excellent bands throughout the day. Though we weren’t allowed photo access to the Apollo and Saturn stages to take shots of the big guns, our snappy photographer did manage to catch all the other great action across the arena.

InnerPartySystem trod a pretty unique line between dance, electronica and alternative back on their eponymous debut album. The lead single ‘Don’t Stop’ was a sleeper hit in 2008, and the quality of their material led to a tour of America and a near-as-dammit sold out UK tour in 2009. But, with the departure of Jesse Cronan, the jack-of-all-trades handyman of the band, it seems IPS have chosen to take their sound in a new direction. Well, it’s not so much a new direction as a streamlining of their musical style. Where their sound used to be a razor-sharp synthesis of spiny industrial and heavy club beats, now it’s dance. Just dance.
InnerPartySystem have announced that their forthcoming EP ‘Never Be Content’ is set for release on March 7th (digital)/March 28th (physical). Along with this, the band have announced some extra UK shows whilst touring with 3OH!3 where they’ll be performing electronic sets, including this year’s Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds and Hatfield.
MARCH 25 – SOUTHAMPTON, Unit (Electronic set)
MARCH 26 – LONDON, Proud 2 (w/ Sketches, White Lies) (Electronic set)
APRIL 02 – NOTTINGHAM, Stealth Vs. Rescue Rooms (Electronic set)
MAY 23 – BOURNEMOUTH, Academy (supporting 3OH!3)
MAY 24 – CARDIFF, Solus (supporting 3OH!3)
MAY 25 – BIRMINGHAM, Institute (supporting 3OH!3)

Slam Dunk have announced further line-up additions to this year’s festival in May. Like last year, the festival will be taking place in both Leeds (May 28th) and Hertfordshire (May 29th), with headline acts already confirmed from Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake.
Latest additions to the bill are Anti-Flag, Goldfinger, VersaEmerge, InnerPartySystem, We Are The In Crowd, A Rocket To The Moon and Decade. Further additions are still yet to be confirmed.
Party duo 3OH!3 have added a London date onto the end of their forthcoming UK headline tour this May/June, with each date bringing InnerPartySystem as support. Here are the fully announced dates, including the newly added London show:
