Ghostfest is Leeds’ annual celebration of the very best and most exciting bands that the hardcore and metal scene has to offer today. Now in its seventh year, the festival has come from humble beginnings to one of the most anticipated events on the UK festival circuit. Bunking up to an extra third stage for this year’s festivities, and therefore a shed load of bands, we headed there to catch on some music intensity. Leeds’ annual metal/hardcore festival Ghostfest have made their first line-up announcement for this year’s event. The two festival is taking place at Leeds University on June 25th – June 26th. The tour poster featuring all the currently confirmed bands can be seen below:
Tickets go on sale at 9:00AM on March 14th 2011, each priced at £30 for the whole weekend and £20 for a day. You can purchase yours from either seetickets.com or leedstickets.com. More bands are still yet to be announced.

After the first date of 2010 showcasing some of the best and most brutal hardcore and metal bands on the scene today, it would be a very difficult task to match to it on the festival weekend’s second date. Surely enough though, they even managed to top it and close their fifth year with an almighty bang!
