British upstarts Hang The Bastard have confirmed that they will be heading out on a 10 date long headline run of the UK next month, bringing support from Desolated throughout (except TDON). All dates are listed below:
Not content on the lack of rock orientated festivals within Manchester, the guys over at Mutiny Events decided to call this to an end immediately and so enters the debut year of 3-day weekender, SummerJam. Bringing in the continuously growing UK hardcore scene into light for the festival’s closing day, SummerJam‘s final hours were born to be chaotic.
Hang The Bastard have announced on their official Facebook page that they’ve parted ways with vocalist Chris Barlow due to “reasons of different interest”. The band have also confirmed that he will be replaced by Michael Carver of the now defunt outfit Deal With It. The full announcement reads as follows:
Up-and-coming hardcore outfit Hang The Bastard have just released their new music video for ‘Rivers Edge’, taken from their self-titled EP that came out last month. Check it out:
Hang The Bastard return in 2012 with their self-titled EP, released on TDON Records. The release came along with a special deluxe package, including a t-shirt and Ouija board; something that definitely enhances their reputation as one of the most evil of the UK hardcore bands out there today.
After some travelling complications, Hang The Bastard were forced to change their set time, date and stage they were to perform on at this year’s Hevy Festival. With an impressive album in ‘Hellfire Reign’ released a few months beforehand, we thought it’d be a great opportunity to chat with the guys to talk about things as of late, and what’s within their scope in the foreseeable future:

Note: As only a few members of the site were able to review the festival weekend, we were sadly unable to cover every band performing throughout the day.
Extended to a full three-day weekend and being one of the only festivals to be hosted at a wild animal park, Hevy is most definitely a unique beast that’s growing from strength-to-strength year after year since its creation. With the final day now at hand and a main stage headline set from Four Year Strong to look forward to, it’s definitely a great way to end what’s undeniably a great weekend.

Gallows seem to permanently be on tour, having played in this venue not only 6 months ago. This is a good thing though, for they are known to put on one hell of a show. Playing in Moho Live, this venue seems tailored to exactly the atmosphere they want to create; a small, intimate and therefore chaotic crowd. Once walking into the venue, one noticable feature is the lack of any form of barrier. This could prove to be very interesting.
