Guitarist and last remaining Carter brother, Steph, has now parted ways with British hardcore punk act, Gallows. The band have release the following statement on their Facebook page in regards to this update:
Well, 2012 has been one hell of a year. Thankfully, the world hasn’t ended and hopefully that’ll remain the same for these remaining few weeks, though 21/12/2012 is less than a week away now. Anyway, our survival has allowed us to be blessed with many great releases throughout these past 12 months, spawning from acts across the globe at many different stages of their career.
It’s been difficult to narrow them down, but together, DEAD PRESS! has managed to collate what we think have been the top 10 albums of the year. Have a look below and see what we think has made 2012 just that extra bit special and has surely set a benchmark for 2013 to up the ante:

British punks Gallows have confirmed that the latest and final single to be lifted from their recent self-titled record will be ‘Cross Of Lorraine’, which you can stream and listen to in full via the embed below:
Footage of Gallows‘ recent visit to BBC Radio 1′s Maida Vale studios, where they showcased 4 tracks from their recent self-titled album live, is now available to watch online for a limited time.
It’s hard to listen to Gallows without making comparisons to their previous work. Firstly, because of the line-up change that has been a huge talking point in the hardcore punk scene since it was announced. Secondly, because ‘Grey Britain’ was such a monumental game-changer and arguably one of the most important punk records in recent years, it’s near impossible not to have it in the back of your mind whilst listening to ‘Gallows’. But, as the plain and simple album title suggests, this is Gallows in full force.

Now celebrating the 10th year since its inception, it’s obvious that to mark this important milestone in the event’s history, Download Festival was going to make it truly special weekend to remember. If we weren’t there, we would have thrown a tantrum. Here’s our review of what we thought of the opening day of what would undoubtedly be a fantastic weekend of rock, metal, punk and alternative music:
