Still going as strong as they were in their breakthrough days, Funeral For A Friend are a true treasure to modern British rock/punk music, acting as a strong forefront for the UK’s post-hardcore scene. Now, with new full-length ‘Conduit’ in stores and a headline tour to support it, we headed to the NQ Live venue in Manchester to catch the band once again in a small, intimate venue. British post-hardcore veterans, Funeral For A Friend, have had a bit of a rough time in recent years. With trends constantly moving, they almost didn’t manage survive the scene. With the addition of ex-Rise To Remain drummer Pat Lundy, the band have a new energy about them, and it seems to be paying off.

A comeback which many thought was impossible has changed tables. Welsh post-hardcore outfit Funeral For A Friend are back and with their new release, ‘Conduit’, we see a shift back towards the band’s earlier style, clearly ignoring everything that was ‘Tales Don’t Tell Themselves’ and pushing the elements of heavier and darker music.
