For anyone who is unfamiliar with the Koko club in London, it is a fine establishment and is definitely more of a night club than a venue. However, on this occasion, it plays host the mighty Four Year Strong who more than threatened to blow the roof off of the place.

Bedford may not be the most likely place where you’d find a great source of rock, but Don Broco have been set to change that, and they’re not doing a bad job at it so far either. With a successful EP under their belts and a hugely hyped debut full-length on the way, we caught up with the guys on their first tour across the UK in 2012 – supporting Four Year Strong. We talked about the upcoming album, the recent departure of bassist Luke Rayner, balancing the band with day jobs and more:

Ever since the release of ‘Rise Or Die Trying’ back in 2007, Four Year Strong have quickly become one of the forerunners in this generation’s pop-punk movement, bringing a rather crunchier and heavier hitting side to the genre than usual. Still sporting their almost trademark beards nearly five years on from this, their first headline run of the UK in 2012 proves the hype is going stronger than ever.

One of the longest running popular music festivals in the UK, the Reading/Leeds Festival weekend is well reknowned and has been hugely popular since its inception. Extended to a full three-day weekend and being one of the only festivals to be hosted at a wild animal park, Hevy is most definitely a unique beast that’s growing from strength-to-strength year after year since its creation. With such great acts like Sonic Boom Six, Basement and Flood Of Red kicking off the festival weekend, it’s sure to follow in similar great fashion.
