By and large, metal tends to be a pretty experimental genre. Unlike some other styles, with sacred cows and crass derivation, there more often then not tends to be a genuine spirit of progression and innovation. In a sense, Dissipate carry this torch of change. The 8-year old band from California proclaim themselves a mix of ‘Technical/Groove/Djent/Hardcore/Metal/Shred’, a busy meshing of styles if nothing else. On their latest EP output, ‘Tectonics’, the group has gained mixed results for their work.
