The Cotswold Hills 5000 capacity festival 2000 Trees returns for it’s 10 Year Extravaganza in 2016 with a huge line-up including headliners Twin Atlantic and Refused. Back in October, New York based prog rockers Coheed & Cambria released ‘The Color Before The Sun’, a record that broke an ethos and an idea that the band had been keeping strong for over two decades and across their previous seven albums. That is their concept, that runs alongside The Amory Wars saga and comic books, created by frontman Claudio Sanchez. It’s a brave step that worked in their favour, and now they’re in the UK to showcase this breath of fresh air in their career to a handful of sold out shows.

It seems like Crooks have been pushing in on the post-hardcore market hard over the last few years, and they seem to have their name plastered everywhere you look. Yet, the band have only just come round to releasing a full-length album. ‘Are We All The Same Distance Apart’ is the first record for the band that have already played with Marmozets, Gallows and Our Last Night, and also have a particularly tasty Coheed & Cambria/Glassjaw support slot on the horizon – an impressive feat for such a young band.
